This here is my first post about getting free shit and promoting it, just like all those girls who were on the Bachelor. *It says on the card that I have to say I got this free for testing purposes...so here it is I got my Poppy VoxBox from Influenster today. Not sure who is familiar with Influenster but I love it, check out why here. 7th Heaven Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques - $3.97Pros: These were like little masks for my finger tips. I loved that the moisturizer was only on the inside of the individual pouches so I felt I could still do something while I pampered my cuticles, I am all about multitasking. It's been approximately 4 hours since I removed the pouches and my fingers, in particular my cuticles, still feel luxuriously soft. This is major for me! I have perpetually dry and peeling cuticles, side effect of my seasonal allergy meds, so not being able to see a piece of skin to pull on is revolutionary! Another important note: You can get them at Walmart! Now don't go running away just because I'm excited about everyone's favorite store to hate. No matter what your feelings are, it is cheap and convenient and frankly the only option in some parts of the country. That is unless you live in Washington, DC, then it is not convenient but it is most definitely still cheap. But I digress... Cons: The smell of the cream, although not foul, was not pleasing and now my hands are stuck smelling this way; even after washing them. Although I was able to play a TV show on my laptop, I see you Real Housewives of Atlanta, there wasn't much else I could accomplish. The pouches are bulky and really restrict the level of precision your hands can perform at. I don't think this is a design flaw I just think it is in the nature of this type of product. So basically you just need to have the 15 minutes to sit there and do nothing with your hands. Overall: If you're the type of person that is into home pampering this is your product. The smell is mild enough that I could get over it, I just don't want to at this point in time. Personally I wouldn't purchase this product. As a broke graduate student there isn't much room in my budget for unnecessary things and I rather spend the money on a multi-use item (jewelry, maybe) and then pray my usual moisturizer does the trick. And if I did have the money to spare I would probably just save up until I could get a manicure. That being said I know at least 15 people who would be in love with this product. Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo - $11.99Pros: It smells like heaven and it reduced the greasy appearance of my hair
Cons: It took a fair amount of effort to get the white residue to go away Overall: I'd buy it. Lets be honest it made my hair smell magical and as someone who washes their hair as little as possible that is life changing! Stay Tuned for an update on cuticle softness and the other products I received in the VoxBox
